A SONG OF TREES

Sometimes we glimpse a shadow outside of time, a slip of everyday 'real'.

Change is happening nowadays with more and more speed. The glimpses and 'downloads' from the Unseen come more frequently.
I had one such experience a while ago. It has stayed with me. I attempted recording it in a painting and in words. I share it here, to honour the vision and to affirm that this process of realisation of a wider web of life is natural and is part of the present re-weaving of our Mother Earth's dreaming… please pass it on if you wish…

Out of this land the trees come forth
Reaching each way for light and dark
Joining sky and earth in line
Like sympathetic strings of time.

My inner eyes just caught a glimpse,
A vision of the once-that-was,
Vast network of a native throng
Of busy-ness and living song.

Gone these flattened, unwild fields,
Shrunken marshes, sheep-shorn hills;
Wiped away the concrete caul
Of netting roads and urban sprawl

I saw, through ghosts of kin we share,
Your dreaming still beneath our feet,
bark and root, and Blood and bone
Circling time and holding home.
